2015 Chevy Colorado Review: Don’t Call It A Midsize

By  |

The midsize pickup truck have been very quiet the last few years until GM decided to bring in two new trucks, the GMC Canyon and the Chevrolet Colorado. However, the new Chevrolet Colorado definitely doesn’t look like a mid size despite being labelled that way.

The Chevrolet Colorado is only 5.5 inches slimmer than the full size Chevrolet Silverado and 14.5inches shorter, which means easier maneuvering in tight corners and narrow roads but still larger than most mid size in the segment.

Powering the Chevrolet Colorado is a 2.5 liter four cylinder engine that will be mated to a six speed manual transmission and will be able to deliver about 200hp and 191lb ft of torque. The other engine option is a 3.6 liter V6 engine that will be able to deliver 305hp.

There will be two cab configuration, crew and extended and Chevrolet will be offering the four-wheel-drive system as an optional add on.

There will be four trims available starting from the base model, WT model, LT model and the Z71 trim level each which their own set of features. The base model will retail for $21,000.
